I am an experienced English tutor specialising in IB English Language and Literature. With a strong background in secondary and post-16 education, I help students develop the analytical, writing and critical thinking skills required for success in IB assessments.
I have taught English across a range of schools and educational settings, including international and UK-based institutions, working with students of varying abilities and learning needs. My experience includes supporting students preparing for IB, IGCSEand Cambridge English examinations, as well as teaching adult learners in formal education programmes.
My lessons are structured, calm and clearly aligned with syllabus and assessment objectives. I focus on close reading, effective essay writing and exam-specific strategies, while also encouraging independent thinking and confident expression—skills that are essential for IB success.
I place a strong emphasis on creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas openly and build confidence at their own pace. Developing a positive working relationship is central to my approach, as I believe meaningful progress comes from trust, clarity and consistent guidance.
