I am an experienced IB Mathematics tutor with a doctoral background in Mathematics and extensive experience teaching IB Mathematics at both SL and HL. I work closely with students following IB Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches, supporting them in developing strong conceptual understanding, effective problem-solving skills and confidence in assessment settings.
Alongside tutoring, I have held senior roles within IB schools, including leading a mathematics department and contributing to curriculum planning and assessment design. I have also been involved in the marking and moderation of IB Mathematics assessments, which informs my guidance on exam technique and common pitfalls.
My teaching approach focuses on clarity and understanding rather than rote procedures. I emphasise the reasoning behind mathematical methods and help students make connections across topics so they can approach unfamiliar problems with confidence. Technology such as graphing calculators and dynamic visual tools is used where appropriate to support learning.
Lessons are carefully tailored to individual needs and paced to suit each student. I aim to create a supportive, structured learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas and steadily building independence in their mathematical thinking.
