About Teacher

I am an experienced IB English tutor specialising in Language and Literature at both HL and SL, with a strong focus on Extended Essay support. I have taught within IB school settings for many years and have a clear understanding of IB assessment requirements, which informs my approach to exam preparation and coursework guidance.
My experience includes supporting students with academic writing, textual analysis and structured argumentation—key skills for success in IB English. I also work closely with students on Extended Essays, helping them develop focused research questions, organise ideas effectively and refine their academic voice. A background in TESOL supports my work with students for whom English is an additional language.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have held leadership roles within IB schools and have worked with students in a range of educational contexts. This has strengthened my ability to adapt lessons to individual needs while maintaining clear alignment with IB expectations.
My approach is student-centred and structured. I identify areas for development and create tailored plans that support progress in skills such as Paper 1 analysis, essay writing and critical thinking. Throughout, I aim to build confidence, clarity and independence so students can approach IB English with assurance.
